Blessing Bowls by Carrie Cox
Martha Stewart’s American Made Nominee
Carrie Cox’s first blessing bowls were made for family in her home in Oxford Mississippi. Friends saw them on Facebook and asked her to make more. She sold the Blessing Bowls to her first store in October of 2013 in Oxford. Now, her bowls are sold in four states and numerous shops.
She uses Facebook and Instagram to other shop owners, and this helped her business grow. Recently she was featured in The Scout Guide in Jackson Mississippi as one of the top gifts to purchase on their scout guide blog. She is constantly working on new designs and introduced Christmas Ornaments for the 2014 holiday season. She lovse making these original unique designs and she looks forward to creating, evolving, branding and nurturing her business.
Her first inspiration came from antique intaglios and she wanted her blessing bowls to look and feel timeless. She made them for my family to show them how special and loved they are. Encouragement from family and friends inspired her to continue to make her creations for others.
“Inspiration is knowing so many have embraced my blessing bowls, it’s a from the heart kind of thing… which has helped to feed my desire to reach out, continue to make new contacts and push my creative envelope. Joy and love for what I have created.”
